[AUGUST 07] - 'MAKERS GET ALL-AMERICAN TOURNEY WIN
Nick Abegglen pitched a complete game, two-hitter as the Haymakers defeated the Interlude Reds 5-0 at Seymour Thursday night. Abegglen (4-0) issued zero walks while fanning 9 batters. The next AAL tournament game for the club will be Monday night at 6:00 versus the Omaha Merchants.
[AUGUST 03] - HAYMAKERS ADVANCE TO CNL FINALS
Omaha came away with a 4-0 playoff victory over Lincoln on Sunday to advance to the CNL Championship Series. Jason Winfield picked up the win, allowing just 3 hits in 5+ innings of work. From the dish, Aaron Morlock knocked in 2 runs with a bases-loaded single.
[JULY 31] - OMAHA RALLIES PAST RALSTON
Trailing 7-4 heading into the bottom of the ninth, the Haymakers stormed back to win 8-7 at Orval Smith Thursday. Josh Johnson drove-in the winning run with a two-out single, while pitcher Adam Leonard earned the complete-game victory.
[JULY 29] - 'MAKERS DEFEAT DJ's DUGOUT
Winning pitcher Nick Abegglen threw 8 strong innings Tuesday night as Omaha downed DJ's by a score of 2-1. Abegglen allowed just 6 hits while striking out 4. Adam Leonard pitched a scoreless 9th to pick up the save. At the plate, Josh Johnson drove-in both runs with a 1st inning double.
