ALL-AMERICAN LEAGUE
Omaha's All-American Baseball League is organized for players between the ages of 18 and 30. The league usually fields ten to twelve teams each year, consisting of ball players throughout the Omaha metro area. The season is scheduled around the school year to allow college players to participate in All-American League games following the end of their college season. With that in mind, the AAL season consists of a 25-30 game slate, followed by a double-elimination city tournament in early August. For more information, contact City-Wide Sports at (402) 444-5931. |

CENTRAL NEBRASKA LEAGUE
The CNL operates much like the All-American League. The schedule caters to the college players, but all Central Nebraska League games are on Sundays. Beginning in mid-May and finishing in late July, teams play doubleheaders each Sunday. This allows for a 24 game regular season schedule, followed by single elimination playoffs. Towns fielding teams in this league for 2003 include Staplehurst, Wahoo, Yutan, Omaha, Lincoln, and Stromsburg. For contact information regarding this league, send requests to haymaker9@yahoo.com. |
